Alexander Lloyd, the insurance recruitment specialist, has said it is concerned at the 40% level of GCSE writers who have failed to achieve a grade C or above in the core subjects of english, maths and science.

"It is alarming for the competitiveness of the nation as a whole that so many schoolchildren are not achieving recognised standards in these essential subjects," said operations manager at Alexander Lloyd, Mike Goddard.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
