AIG International Services (AIGIS) has signed a three-year agreement with ARC Risk Management Group to distribute ARC's red24 Alert service to AIGIS clients worldwide.

Red24 Alert provides analysis of terrorist threats and civil unrest in 130 countries, as well as access to 24-hour advice on security, risk and travel issues.

ARC chief executive Rob Whiting said the deal with AIG was a "fantastic coup" for the company.

"AIG's reach in the insurance market is unparalleled, and red24Alert adds value to their offering," he added.

Red24 Alert also offers customers assistance in the event of a life-threatening situation arising, such as kidnap, false imprisonment or civil unrest.

In 2003, ARC signed a similar deal to provide red24 Alert to Hiscox's customers.

The contract with AIGIS will initially focus on distribution in the Asia Pacific region.
