Dozen senior execs to advise Treasury on tax and business

Secretary to the Treasury David Gauke is to include an RSA executive on a panel of advisers to be announced today, the FT reports.

Senior executives from a dozen multinationals are set to advise on the competitiveness of the business tax system “to discuss ways in which we can improve the competitiveness of the UK’s tax system including the long-term aims of the corporate tax system”, the Treasury will announce.

Lowering the rate of “inefficient and growth-damaging” corporation tax will encourage investment to support the recovery Gauke will say.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
