Heath Lambert aerospace broker Kevin Eley and Westminster Aviation underwriter Rod Morse have been awarded the Blue Planet Star for their part in the successful splashdown of the Mir space station.

The Star has only ever been awarded to four people outside Russia and was presented by the Russian Space Agency.

Heath Lambert has a long relationship with the agency and handles about 70% of the Russian space market's business from its Moscow office.

Mir was forced out of orbit four months ago and succeeded in a controlled return to earth. It fell into the Pacific Ocean as planned, without necessitating a claim.
