Does 14 November mean anything to you? For those who don't know, it's the start of National Ladder Week.
What's that then, a chance for everyone to enjoy the thrill of perching on a rung 10ft in the air? No, it's a serious initiative organised by the Health and Safety Executive to "promote the safe use of ladders".
How will that work then? Diagrams and classes? Yes, there will be practical demonstrations of alternative equipment to ladders, discussions of measures to improve safety and breakfast meetings with professionals and employers.
Must be a serious matter then? Indeed, over 1,200 people were seriously injured last year after falls from ladders, and 14 people died.
No laughing matter then? Certainly not, and hold tight next time you are washing the bedroom windows.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
