Teresa Sayers has been appointed the new chief executive of the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC).

Sayers has been managing director of the FSSC since November 2003.

The organisation recently received its licence from the government, and is now licensed to work in partnership with employers and trade unions to provide strategic leadership for training, education and skills development for the financial services sector.

Sayers has held various roles in the FSSC, including director of research and development (April to November 2003) and acting chief executive (May 2002 – April 2003).

David Prosser, Legal & General chief executive and chair of the FSSC board, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Teresa Sayers as chief executive. Teresa has led the FSSC team at a time of significant transition, and I look forward to working with her in dealing with the challenges that lie ahead.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
