Singer & Friedlander (S&F) chief executive John Hodson is to step down after 12 years in the top job at the independent merchant bank.

Hodson, who has been with the bank for 35 years, will retire at the end of the year, said a report.

His replacement will be former Old Mutual deputy chief executive and finance director Tony Shearer, who joined S&F in 2003.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
