Actress Joanna Lumley presented premium finance provider Tifco with three awards at the largest awards ceremony for business in the UK.

Tifco director Ian Jerrum took a starring role in the North Hertfordshire Business Awards when he was voted business personality of the year.

The premium credit provider, which has reportedly been in merger talks with industry competitor Prompt, also clinched awards for its innovative use of technology and business success.

One of the awards judges commented that Tifco had won because its management plan was focused on staff development and customer service.

Jerrum said: “We have built up something at Tifco that really is unique and I am proud of that.”
