Towergate Underwriting Group is reportedly close to acquiring Hill House Hammond's specialist scheme business for an undisclosed sum.
The company, headed by Peter Cullum is understood to have signed heads of agreement for the business. The HHH business handles gross written premiums of approximately £14m.
Towergate is expected to provide non-standard product support to NU Direct following the deal. Towergate currently handles up to £200m of gross written premiums.
