CCV broker has major expansion plans

Wigan broker Alker Brothers, part of Cullum Capital Ventures (CCV), has undergone a transformation as part of its objective to double in size in just three years.

The company has rebranded to Alker Insurance Brokers, and has moved offices to cater for current and planned expansion.

The broker has also strengthened its sales team with four new appointments to facilitate the company’s intended growth from new sales. It expects to grow its workforce further by a third by the end of the year.

Neil Poulton joins as sales director from DR&P where he spent 10 years as business development manager.

He is joined by Steve May as broking manager, account executive Peter Monks, and account handlers Linzi Roberts and Natalie Roberts.

John Neill, managing director of Alker Insurance Brokers, said: “We wanted the business to better reflect our identity as being part of a national broker and to provide the growth potential and environment for our employees that will help us to reach our objectives.

"These latest developments are just the beginning of a transformation for the business that will see us double in size in three years. We will continue to offer the level of service that can only be found when dealing with a local company, whilst using the buying power and influence that being part of CCV gives us to make the best deals possible for our customers.”
