Martina Geiss to lead construction business for insurer.
XL Insurance has appointed Martina Geiss as senior construction underwriter for the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia and Africa region.
Geiss has over 25 years of underwriting experience, predominantly in the construction sector, having worked on major UK and international projects. She was previously part of XL Insurance's construction team in Zurich.
Max Benz, underwriting manager, Construction at XL Insurance, said: "Despite the credit crunch, we continue to see demand for large construction projects in the UK region and beyond. This appointment demonstrates our commitment to improve customer service by providing locally-based expert underwriters.
