Company history: Established in 1972, GE Financial Insurance is a major provider of private label insurance solutions in Europe. Working in partnership with clients, banks and other financial institutions as well as retailers, the company develops insurance products to be marketed under client brands. In the UK, it provides a range of payment protection insurance products as well as travel and personal accident policies.

The company's scale and sector expertise means that it can offer an end-to-end service to clients to bring products to market, including product design, underwriting and new business processing, general customer service and claims handling. It also offers contract outsourcing services. Across Europe, It has approximately 8 million policyholders, with around 4 million in the UK. GE Financial Insurance has operations in 12 European countries as well as a sister company, GE Assurances, in France.
