Insurance Times rounds up the biggest M&A announcements across the market from 21 to 25 September 2026

Starting off the week, Jensten Group agreed to acquire Venture Risks Group (VRG), a specialist technology-focused corporate broker, as it looks to expand its presence in the technology and life sciences sectors.

The transaction, which is expected to complete in October 2026, will further strengthen Jensten Group’s technology, media, cyber and life sciences division and enhance its specialist capabilities across professional indemnity, cyber and technology-related risks.

Then, Pollen Street Capital confirmed it is in talks about a possible sale.

The firm, which owns Markerstudy, has commenced an assessment of the strategic options available with a view to delivering greater value for shareholders. 

This week also saw Bishop Street Underwriters establish a new UK group structure by bringing its specialty insurance businesses under a single management and governance framework.

Bishop Street said the changes are intended to create a scalable platform for further organic growth and acquisitions in the UK, while also supporting expansion into the wider European market.
