Travel assistance specialist 24/7 Assist has appointed Pat Bird as its new chairwoman.
Bird, who was formerly managing director of Travel Protection Group, will take up her new role from 1 July.
Arthur Goldberg, managing director of 24/7's owner, Quaestor Capital, said: "After Quaestor rescued 24/7 I immediately thought of Pat as the ideal person to lead the company.
"She brings with her a wealth of experience, is the undisputed doyenne of the travel insurance industry and we are delighted she has agreed to join us."
