ACE Limited has appointed Sean Ringsted as chief actuary for the group, with immediate effect.
He replaces Susan Patschak, who has served as chief actuary since October 2002. The appointment is subject to the approval from the Bermuda Department of Labour and Immigration.
Ringsted will report directly to chief financial officer Phil Bancroft. His responsibilities will include overseeing all major actuarial functions, including reserving, pricing and capital performance measurement.
Prior to his appointment, Ringsted was chief risk officer for ACE Global Reinsurance.
