Ace Europe has launched its Ace Dataguard product in the UK to help protect businesses against the financial effects of malicious and accidental damage to computer networks and telecommunications systems.

Already available on mainland Europe, Dataguard includes business interruption coverage and, for ‘qualifying companies', a free information security survey.

The UK launch of Dataguard follows a DTI study that found that 94% of large British companies suffered at least one breach of security last year. Two-thirds of those businesses experienced unauthorised access to or misuse of their systems, fraud, and/or theft. Such events are not normally covered by other types of insurance, which tend to focus on physical assets like computers and telephones.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
