Allianz Cornhill's director of engineering, Alan Harris, is retiring at the end of the year after running the division for 10 years.

He will be replaced by Neil Clutterbuck, formerly regional manager, London.

Since joining the company in 1996, Harris has built Allianz Cornhill Engineering into a successful business producing outstanding financial results and record growth, according to the insurer.

Chris Hanks, general manager Allianz Cornhill Commercial, said: "Alan leaves a legacy of a strong business and an excellent team. We are indebted to him for a tremendous contribution to our business and whilst we will miss him we do wish him a very long, healthy and happy retirement."
