Move part of attempts to grow SME account.

Allianz Commercial has established a specialist pricing team in an attempt to build its small business proposition.

In a statement the insurer said the new team has been created to "enhance current reporting mechanisms and maximise the use of account grouping techniques."

The team will have the ability to analyse the performance of accounts on a daily basis and take appropriate pricing action, the statement added.

Last week Allianz reported its commercial lines business had grown 7.2% in the first quarter year on year.

Catherine Dixon, small business underwriting manager, Allianz Commercial, said: “Setting up this team has been in direct response to changes in the marketplace. It is only by understanding the complexities in the market and responding quickly and accurately to changes that we can meet the requirements of our customers.

"As an innovative insurer, we are constantly looking at ways in which we can provide a superior service and additional benefits to our customers.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
