Wellington Underwriting Agencies has announced the promotion of Matthew Yeldham to deputy chief underwriting officer of Syndicate 2020.
Yeldham has over 15 years experience in the market having started with IC Agnew & others, Syndicate 672. He worked on all areas of Syndicate 2020's account before becoming the divisional liability underwriter in 1998. Yeldham was appointed director of Wellington Underwriting Agencies in 2002, with responsibility for marine and liability underwriting.
Commenting on the appointment, Tim Burrows, chief underwriting officer, said: “I am delighted to promote Matthew to Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer. Matthew has successfully developed liability and marine underwriting at Wellington and this promotion will enable him to bring his considerable skills to further enhance the success of the syndicate.”
