Antares makes final appointment to treaty team

Lloyd's managing agency, Antares, has appointed Fergus Reynolds as property treaty deputy underwriter.

This latest appointment marks the completion of its property treaty team that has been brought together by Alex Craggs, who joined Antares in January 2010.

Reynolds previously worked at Brit Insurance for six years in its international property treaty team, handling both proportional and excess of loss business.

The team also includes Alan Steggall, property treaty underwriter and Ben Adolph, property assistant treaty underwriter, who also joined from Brit Insurance.

Stephen Redmond, managing director of Antares, said: “Alex has successfully brought together a top flight and well qualified treaty team with the right balance of experience, particularly in geographic terms, to drive the development of a well balanced property treaty portfolio.

"Property treaty is a major part of our business and, in the right underwriting conditions, we are now in an excellent position to grow the account with a focus on high quality programmes bringing diversity through both geographic balance and peril exposure.”
