Aon has appointed Joanna Caparn as chief executive designate for personal and group programmes, with effect from 1 June.
Current chief executive Peter Friend is to retire at the end of the year.
Caparn has spent the last ten years at Bupa, where she was a member of the executive committee with responsibility for the UK consumer business.
Aon Risk Services' personal and group programmes (PGP) division develops specialist insurance products and programme management services directly for clients.
The division includes Aon Artscope (fine art insurance) and Aon Private Clients (for high net worth clients).
