Argos Business Solutions (ABS) is to launch a web-based system to streamline insurers' provision of replacement goods to policyholders.
ABS currently works with a number of insurers, including Royal & SunAlliance, to provide policyholders with an electronic voucher that can be used to buy goods. The insurer receives a discount, about 8%, on the goods purchased.
The new system, Bybreeze, will allow insurers to request the vouchers electronically. And claimants will be able to monitor the order process and spend the voucher online.
ABS procurement general manager Julian Rapkins said that Bybreeze would improve the speed and efficiency of providing replacement goods. "It takes the electronic voucher to the next stage. Orders can processed accurately without the need for re-keying, thereby reducing costs."
He added that there was also the potential to use it as a portal to the suppliers of other products.
Bybreeze will be launched next month.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
