Ascot Underwriting has appointed Andrew Brooks, a leading energy underwriter for its Reith Syndicate, to its board of directors.
It said Brooks was part of the team which founded Ascot underwriting in 2001.
The company said he would continue to act as one of the syndicate's deputy underwriters with oversight responsibility for the management of the syndicate's underwriting.
Ascot Underwriting's Syndicate 1414 is backed by AIG.
