Loss adjuster Ashworth Mairs (AMG) has appointed Martin Long as non-executive chairman and main board director.
Long is best known for founding Churchill Insurance in 1989, which he sold to Royal Bank of Scotland in 2003.
He officially joined AMG on 3 January and will support the management team in developing the potential of the business.
Kevin Wood, group managing director at AMG, said: "The management team looks forward to working alongside Martin to deliver against the business objectives, while bringing further added value to our clients and the market in 2006.”
