AXA Insurance has appointed Iain Watt as its Marketing Director.

Watt joined AXA on an interim contract earlier in the year and has now accepted the position on a permanent basis.

Watt said: "At AXA we are facing the challenge of improving operational effectiveness, improving customer intimacy and re-focusing our minds to put our customer needs first.

"The chance to see these changes through was too
good an opportunity to miss, as I too am a consumer of insurance and therefore a stakeholder in our own future."

Prior to joining AXA Insurance, Watt was a partner at IGI, a full service communications agency with offices in London and New York offering consultancy to clients in FMCG, Financial Services, Healthcare, Energy and Government Agencies.

He has over fifteen years experience in international marketing and has spent the majority of that time living and working in Europe.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
