For Backchat, golf is a field sport. It involves dressing up in funny trousers and special footwear, arming oneself with a long metal stick and chasing a small, round, white object across open fields, through long grass and into the woods.
For Backchat, the best hole on any course is the nineteenth.
Not so though for many in the industry. So Backchat will no doubt be arming himself for the Insurance Times French golf tournament, if he can get himself a place. The competition (see advert on page 21) is almost fully booked so any real enthusiast out there had better race Backchat for a teeing time.
