Readers may be of the opinion that rival trade groups are at each other's throats. But nothing could be further from the truth.

Backchat stumbled upon the AIIB's Chris Arter the other day, who announced that he regularly sees eye-to-eye with rival trade body leader Andrew Paddick.

“Eye-to-eye” is the key phrase here, and not because the two are of a similar stature. The reason is that they go shooting together and the thought of Paddick – regularly seen in military attire – armed and dangerous is too much of a risk for the AIIB stalwart. “I never stand with my back to him, just in case,” explains Arter.
