Mark Langford, a director of motor legal assistance group The Accident Group, has been invited to appear on Thursday's (March 29) BBC TV Watchdog programme, to respond to allegations about his company's operations.

Langford is due to be interviewed by Watchdog presenter Nicky Campbell about the way his company handles claims from motor accident victims.

Watchdog producer Phil Stein said his team had investigated The Accident Group following a number of complaints about its sales policy.

He said its customers had also experienced difficulties in recovering the company's legal expenses premiums from third parties' insurers.

Stein said the programme would detail complaints from two Accident Group customers and feature a personal injury solicitor discussing how its policies compare with the rest of the legal assistance industry

But Stein could not confirm whether Langford was prepared to appear on the TV show.

The Accident Group was unavailable for comment.
