Beazley has appointed Gordon Hamilton as an independent, non-executive director, effective 8 September 2006.
The company said he will also join Beazley's audit and remuneration committees.
Hamilton has over 30 years experience as an audit partner at Deloitte & Touche and its predecessor practices, specialising in UK listed company audits, with extensive experience of board and audit committees.
Beazley CEO, Andrew Beazley, said, “I am delighted to welcome Gordon Hamilton to the Board. In an increasingly complicated accounting environment, his extensive experience in audit, accounting and regulation, working with UK listed companies, will prove invaluable.”
