Beazley has opened a new office in Paris. A team of three underwriters will be headed by Charlotte Lamidon, who has previously worked for Zurich Financial Services and Anglo French Underwriters.

Initially, Beazley's new French team will focus on professional indemnity and financial guarantee products for brokers.

Lamidon commented: “The risks run by French businesses and professions are evolving rapidly. With the support of the Beazley global network of experts, we are now in a position to offer a comprehensive local service to our clients in France, developing products and services tailored to their specific needs.”

Johnny Rowell, head of specialty lines, said: “The decision to open our doors for business in Paris emphasises our commitment to fully support the needs of our local clients as well as providing them with convenient access to our worldwide network of underwriters.”
