Disaster management company Belfor Relectronic is launching three new brands.

Belfor Residential, Belfor Commercial and Belfor Reconstruction are being used to focus on the company's key business areas.

The company is also opening two new branches in Newcastle and Belfast, adding to its 16 existing branches.

The new offices will open from 1 March, offering the company's reconstruction services, the newest of the three business areas.

This new service will project manage all the recovery needed as one event. In the event of a flood, this could include drying and cleaning, but also rebuilding work.

Commercial director Neal Courtney said: "It takes work off the insurers' hands because otherwise they would have to co-ordinate several different contractors."

By driving up the average value of a recovery job this would help the company double its turnover within three years, Courtney said.

Belfor is also growing its residential operation, which restores homes after disasters.

It accounts for up to 40% of Belfor's turnover.

Courtney said: "In our commercial operations, we are trying to recreate a working environment so people can do what they were doing before the disaster. In a residential site, we are concerned not just with restoring the environment, but the confidence of the victims."
