The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) is running a series of roadshows around the country this month to help brokers understand the implications of the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) decision to introduce compulsory regulation for general insurance brokers.

The roadshows will be run with training and competence consultancy Robin Wood Associates and Insurance Times.

Biba chief executive Mike Williams said the series of 15 roadshows will prepare brokers for regulations meant to come into force in two years.

The first is on 21 March in Belfast followed by Glasgow on 23 March, Norwich, 25 March, Nottingham, 26 March and Birmingham, 27 March.

The roadshow continues in April with Leeds on 3 April, Manchester, 4 April, Warrington, 5 April, Southampton, 8 April, Exeter, 9 April, Cardiff, 10 April and Bristol, 11 April. On the 12 and 15 April the roadshow comes to London.
