Broker Robert Starr is hoping he's found an original way of getting out of the business.
The founder and managing director of Brighton's Seico Insurance Consultants is launching a bid for stardom that could spell the end of 11 years running his own brokerage.
He has written a musical that is being performed to music biz talent spotters next week.
Starr - he insists the name is genuine - hopes the showcase at London's Bridewell Theatre in Bride Lane could catapult him to the sort of fame and fortune most brokers can only dream of.
"I think anyone in insurance broking will agree 11 years is enough," he said.
"We hope this could be the first step to getting the show on in the West End."
The musical is called Remember Remember and is based on the story of Guy Fawkes.
The showcase on 27 and 28 February at 3.30pm offers free entry and the chance to rub shoulders with music biz insiders, hopefully including Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group, Warner Brothers and EMI.
But Starr, who isn't giving up his day job yet, is already used to dealing with famous names.
He counts boxer Lennox Lewis and artist Lucian Freud among his clients.
