Brit has made a number of appointments to the boards of its various entities.
Kathy Lisson, chief operating officer, joins the board of Brit Insurance Holdings Plc.
Mike Sibthorpe, director of London market underwriting, has been appointed to the boards of Brit Insurance Limited (Brit's FSA-regulated insurance company) and Brit Syndicates Limited (Brit's managing agent).
Jonathan Turner, director of reinsurance underwriting, joins the group's executive management committee.
Dane Douetil, chief executive, commented: "Mike has played an instrumental role in Brit's development over a number of years and his appointment to the boards of the two key operating companies reflects his wide experience and expertise.
"Kathy and Jonathan are newer to Brit than Mike but both have quickly demonstrated the value that we expected they would be able to add. These appointments reflect that value and our anticipation of their further contribution to the group."
