Brit Insurance has recruited Kathy Lisson as its chief operating officer.

Lisson, who will join the company on 26 September, previously worked for Barclays where as operational transformation director she was responsible for major strategic investment programmes and operations redesign for the Barclays group of companies.

Prior to working with Barclays Lisson spent a number of years as a partner of Price Waterhouse in Toronto.

In her new role Lisson will join Brit's executive management committee, providing chief executive Dane Douetil with board level operational and strategic support as well as having responsibility for the management and development of group processes.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
