‘Giving our customers clarity whenever they see the name MS Amlin is a natural and positive step forward for us,’ says chief executive
MS Amlin has simplified its brand structure to operate solely under the MS Amlin name, with the Lloyd’s global (re)insurer now the only entity trading under the banner.
The move, announced on 1 July 2025, follows a broader restructuring by parent firm Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.
The simplification means that all products, services, website domains and social media accounts using the MS Amlin brand now relate exclusively to the London-based global reinsurer.
Andrew Carrier, chief executive at MS Amlin, said: “The MS Amlin brand has real power and recognition amongst our brokers, partners and clients. It stands for a company that has stability and financial strength, all of which gives our insured clients comfort as the market grapples with the increasingly unstable world around us.
“Giving our customers clarity whenever they see the name MS Amlin is a natural and positive step forward for us, as we move our business onwards.”

Under the changes, MS Amlin AG – now operating as MS Reinsurance – will retain its legal name but no longer use the MS Amlin brand.
