Brit Insurance has appointed Nicholas Davies as class underwriter for its consolidated war and terrorism account.

Davies will have responsibility for aviation hull war, aviation war liability, marine hull war (including war P&I), war on land, and stand alone terrorism risk.

Before joining Brit, Davies spent six months at Ace Global Markets as a member of the US property underwriting team. Prior to that he was a broker at Bain Hogg International.

Davies will write the account for Syndicate 2987, which is expected to have £22m of premium income for the 2004 year of account.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
