Brit Insurance has announced three key appointments to its Manchester team.
Neil Lyons has joined as liability underwriter, Martin Hyde as commercial combined underwriter and Maureen Owen has been appointed north west regional manager.
Neil Lyons joins Brit from Lucas Fettes & Partners, where he was wholesale broking manager.
Martin Hyde was previously senior commercial underwriter at Axa. Hyde has also spent seven years at Garner & Son Insurance, where he was personal/commercial consultant.
Maureen Owen joined Brit in 2004 from Allianz Cornhill, where she was senior technical property and casualty team leader. Prior to this, she was commercial underwriter at Zurich/Eagle Star. She will be taking up the role of north west regional manager on a permanent basis.
Brent Escott, managing director of Brit Insurance's UK division, said: “The expansion of the Manchester team is a significant step in our continued growth. These key appointments will enable us to capitalise on all of the current opportunities in this region."
