Brit Insurance Holdings has appointed two senior positions to its operations division.

Mike Thomas has joined Brit Insurance as head of strategy and architecture, focusing on operational strategy and target environment.

Kay Clancy has joined as head of business change.

Mike Thomas joins Brit Insurance from Barclays, where he was business portfolio director for its UK banking operations.

Kay Clancy also joins from Barclays, where she was bead of change implementation support throughout its branch network.

Kathy Lisson, COO of Brit Insurance, said: “Mike and Kay both have exceptional leadership skills and vast experience within large financial services organisations. These qualities, together with their record in creating innovative platforms and efficient operations, will be a great asset to Brit Insurance.

"Their appointments will help us effectively integrate people, processes and technology to the benefit of our customers during this period of industry change.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
