Broker Bollington is helping young people leaving care start out in insurance with the launch of a career bursary programme.

The initiative, launched as part of National Care Leavers' Week, will see the company take on up to four care leavers, between the ages of 16 and 26, on a two year salaried training scheme.

Paul Moors, chairman of the Bollington Group, said: “We want to make a difference to the future of these young adults and firmly believe that we will achieve this through this exciting innovation. Our comprehensive training and mentoring scheme aims to provide young adults with the skills they need to make their way in the working world."

The programme will provide the young hopefuls with the opportunity to develop a career as an insurance professional or in a related area.

The successful applicants will take up their places in January or April 2007.
