The Bollington Group
Jonathon Hall has ben appointed development manager of Bollington's corporate risks division. He will control a team of account executives who service the group's nationally-based commercial clients.

INSURERS
Groupama
Chris Mingham has joined Groupama's new development team headed by Lloyd Hanks. He will be responsible for developing relationships with Groupama's panel of brokers and intermediaries primarily in the central counties of the UK. Hanks said: "I have worked with Chris before and when I heard he was on the market, I had no hesitation in approaching him."

Zurich
Roger S. Giddings has been appointed chief underwriting officer - exploration and production for Zurich Energy, the energy unit of the Zurich Financial Services Group. In addition to developing the offshore energy business, Giddings will oversee Zurich Energy's London office. Prior to his new appointment, Giddings was chief underwriting manager for ten years at American International Group.

Kwik-Fit
Eric Sanderson has been appointed managing director of Kwik-Fit's motor insurance arm, Kwik-Fit Insurance Services. Sanderson previously held the positions of chief executive of Bank of Scotland Treasury Services and Bank of Scotland general manager. Also, as a result of group expansion, the former managing director of Insurance Services has taken up a new position in the company developing e-commerce.

Independent
Independent has appointed Brian Wood as director general. He joins from RSA where he was president director general, based in Paris.

LLOYD'S
Genavco Insurance
Davis Meur has been appointed managing director of Lloyd's broker Genavco Insurance. He takes over from Peter Winstone who will retire on February 29, but remain involved in the business as non-executive chairman.

Property & Casualty Services
Sarah Witwicka has been appointed vocational case manager at Property & Casualty Services (PCS). Witwicka, who holds an MSc in occupational psychology and is a qualified staff nurse, will be based at PCS's London office.

TECHNOLOGY
etc
John Sexton, Gareth Beanland and Nicholas Pound have joined internet solutions provider, etc to head up the business development team. They will be responsible for marketing the etc e-business solution to "new entrant" insurance distributors as well as to traditional intermediaries wishing to establish a virtual enterprise. Nick Southan, co-founder and director of etc which was established early last year, said: "I have worked with them all before and know that their experience and commitment will be a great asset."

Policy Master
Jonathan Cooper has been appointed to the management committee of Policy Master in the new role of commercial director. He will complement and facilitate plans for global growth which the company put in place in 1998 after its AIM flotation.

Mondial
John Cooper and Mike Bell are joining the corporate and financial services division of Mondial as business development managers. Mondial supports insurance companies, financial services providers and utilities organisations with bespoke customer care packages.

Barrie Wells has been appointed a non-executive director at Marks & Spencer Financial services. He joins from Axa Direct where he was executive director.
