Holman Marketing
Ian Sharpe has been appointed to handle the day to day running of Holman Marketing. He has a wide knowledge of the insurance sector acquired at a number of Lloyd's syndicates. Sharpe has also worked for Anchor Underwriters, Pegasus Motor Policies and Equity Red Star. He will liaise with 5,500 brokers and underwriters.
Cassidy Davis Group
Gordon Colyer has been appointed chairman and chief executive of Cassidy Davis Insurance Services, the group's claims handling company. He joined the group in 1991 to establish the insurance services division and is now managing director.
Bishops
Matthew Ebsworth has been appointed managing director of the combined company formed when Kent-based Bishops bought out brokers Bluett Smith & Co and Jones Lane Insurance Services. He was previously managing director of Bluett Smith and he succeeds Geoffrey French who remains as a director.
BMS Group
Jonathan Morris has been appointed managing director of BMS Re, the London Market and speciality reinsurance subsidiary of BMS Group. He was previously with Lloyd's broker Alwen Hough Johnson. Also Paul Thyer and Nick Edwards have been appointed to the company. They were formerly with Alwen Hough Johnson and Aon Group respectively.

Amlin
Richard Hextall has been appointed finance director of Lloyd's vehicle Amlin. He was previously with Deloitte & Touche for ten years where his last appointment was as a director specialising in insurance and financial services. He has experience of the London Market and Lloyd's.
David Marshall
Graham Young has been appointed an underwriter with David Marshall & Others syndicate 839. He will specialise in fine art cover for commercial and public galleries, auction houses and private collectors. Young was previously with the fine art division of Swire Blanche. He has more than 21 years experience in the insurance market including 12 in the fine art market and set up the fine art and jewellery team at Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
The Leisure Consortium
Janette Collier has been appointed underwriter of the property account of The Leisure Consortium. Collier was formerly with Royal & SunAlliance where she worked in the property and leisure insurance market.
Insurers and Reinsurers
AIG Europe
David Edwin has been appointed to the Manchester office of AIG Europe. He was formerly technical director with RPS consultants and EAG Environ and has extensive experience in the areas of corporate due diligence and contaminated land. Chris Smy joins the London office and was previously with WS Atkins where he specialised in contaminated land remediation.
CNA Re
Stephen Riley has been appointed managing director of CNA Re's London operation. He will be responsible for the management of CNA Re's London based CNA Reinsurance company. Riley was formerly managing director of CLM of Lloyd's. He also has 20 years experience with Swiss Re UK where he was managing director from 1995 to 1998.
Royal Bank of Scotland
Brian Stuart has been appointed divisional director for the Midlands and South of England by Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance Services. He joins from brokers Marsh where he was involved in corporate risk management and the insurance market for more than ten years. He is a fellow of the CII and Institute of Risk Management.
Halifax
Jim Pittman has been appointed senior claims manager at Halifax General Insurance Services where he will be responsible for strategy and devising business plans. He will also manage the technical claims and claims processing departments. He was previously with Cunningham Ellis & Buckle.
Legal
Donns
Clive Robb has been appointed claims manager with personal injury specialists Donns solicitors. He was formerly head of the AA's commercial legal services. In his new role Robb will specialise in the firm's uninsured loss recovery business.
FOIL
Claire McKinney has been appointed the first woman regional representative of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers. McKinney, a litigation partner with Davies Lavery in Birmingham represents FOIL in the Midlands .

Claims Management Group
Simon Barnes has been appointed deputy general manager of the Cheltenham office of Claims Management Group. He was previously with East West Insurance Company and retains responsibility as managing director of that organisation. He has worked in the industry for the last 12 years.
