Last week’s caption competition elicited no shortage of responses from Backchat readers. Not surprisingly, many were variations on a theme – cricket, eggs and Edwina Currie.
Neil Thompson of Healthcare and Protection’s suggestion of Major saying: “I need something hot – anyone fancy a Curry?’ certainly tickled. As did Graham Peck’s entry of John Major saying: “No, No, extra cover is just behind short mid-off”.
But Backchat’s personal favourite was from Jeff Dunn of AXA. Major is saying: “Oh so you are telling me that insurers are the men in grey suits. I always thought it was just me.”
