In a fast-moving broker market, use Biba to spot out the next big trends

Biba is one of the best events of the year for networking and meeting different people from across the insurance industry. The conference brings together a multitude of players all looking to talk about the market challenges and what the future holds for the industry.

I’ve been sales and strategic relationships director at RSA for five months, since moving from regional director for the north. A key part of my job is managing the needs of brokers from segments, from global players through to networks and community brokers.

Profitability and sustainability is key to the current market, and the way to achieve this is through collaboration and listening to broker needs but also take some tough decisions. The broker market is continually changing so it’s important to stay abreast of evolving developments and future trends.

Biba is a great opportunity to do exactly that – to meet a wide range of brokers and hear about the propositions they are looking for, what works well for them and what needs to improve.

Only by understanding this will we be able to effectively respond to broker needs, for example by making sure that our sales team maintains high visibility with our brokers, selling clear propositions and developing brokers through our account plans.

It’s an exciting Biba for me in particular, as it will be my first one in this role, so make sure you stop by the RSA stand to come and introduce yourself.
