The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has appointed Norrie Erwin ACII, Chartered Insurer, as its new business development director for the general insurance sector.
Erwin is currently the sales director at Capita Affinity Services and has previously held roles at a range of organisations, including Legal & General, Norwich Union and the National Australia Group.
He will report to the CII group marketing and sales director Lee Gladwell who said: “Many companies are now looking more closely at how they can improve technical skills across their operations.
"We've further developed our corporate solutions to include training, online support, accreditation, consultancy, qualifications and other services in a single-partnership framework.
"This is generating a lot of interest and Norrie's appointment will help us to take this strategy forward.”
