Colonel Ron Medley, head of Secretariat for the Reserves of the Armed Forces' National Employers' Liaison Committee, was at the conference to convince employers that more reserve forces were needed.
“Be the Best is the Territorial Army motto,” he said. “I'm here to help win and maintain the support of employers for those members of the British Reserves that work in their midst. Be aware these people are good news and be supportive of those serving their country.”
