Financial services and banking employees are set to take part in the 4th annual Microsoft Challengers Trophy in aid of the NSPCC.
Those firms taking part include Aon, Royal Bank of Scotland, National Australia Bank, Lloyds TSB, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Barclays Bank, Scottish Widows, Accenture, and KPMG Corporate Finance.
The NSPCC said the event would help raise an estimated £400,000 for the charity.
Teams taking part in the three-day and four-night challenge will face a series of challenges, including tasks such as canoeing, abseiling, mountain biking and code cracking. All tasks are designed to test both physical and mental strength, while developing team spirit, said the charity.
