Western Provident Association is launching a healthcare cash plan for small companies called Cashback which will be sold through intermediaries.

It provides cash towards dental, optical and medical treatment for a premium of £8, £10 or £12 a month and can run in conjunction with corporate private medical insurance plans. Corporate premiums get a 10% discount.

Cashback will cover health screenings, personal accident cover and make maternity and paternity payments. Dependent children are covered free.

For £8 a month, someone can theoretically claim back, in any one year, a maximum £5,380.
