I write in response to Simon Hughes article on compliance software (Features, 15 March) in which he examines what is on offer to brokers. He states that additional compliance services are available via broker networks, but suggests that there may be hidden costs to the broker.
May I point out that, as far as the Broker Network is concerned there are no hidden costs in any of our services to members. In the area of compliance we provide a dedicated compliance and training consultant to work with each member to review their compliance needs and deliver practical hands-on support and advice.
The feedback we get is that, for our members in particular, the compliance costs are disproportionate to their business, so our members in fact save time and money with us.
