Roy Coppins is to help oversee claims processing in the London Market. The senior claims adjuster of Zurich London has been elected chairman of the Joint Claims Committee. He has also been appointed chairman of the Company and Lloyd's Claims Adjusters' meetings.
Coppins said he would now like to see the Company Market and Lloyd's working even more closely.
The Joint Claims Committee is a forum for debate in the market. It is especially concerned with matters arising from the World Trade Centre terrorist attacks.
The Company and Lloyd's Claims Adjusters' monthly meetings work with the committee. They discuss issues such as the London Market Principles (LMP), which aim to speed up claims processing.
